At Westwood Church, we believe that God wants us to be free from the wounds and lies that get in the way of us having a full and fruitful relationship with Him. Over the past year, we have been using Sozo as the basis for inner healing ministry and have seen God at work in many people’s lives. We are now able to offer this ministry within the church through a trained team of individuals. The word Sozo is a Greek word used 110 times in the New Testament to mean ‘to save or make well’. For those of you with a Greek Bible (seriously, we know some of you do!), check out the following references: Romans 10:9, Matt 9:22.
Sozo has been developed by Bethel Church in Redding California and is a unique inner healing and deliverance ministry in which the main aim is to get to the root of those things hindering your personal connection with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Once your connection with Father, Son and Holy Spirit has been healed you can walk in the destiny to which you have been called. Westwood Church is part of a network of churches in the UK released to offer this ministry.
We normally allow a period of about two hours for each Sozo appointment. We generally have found that is enough time to engage with God at depth and allow significant healing to occur.
In a normal Sozo appointment you can expect there to be two people from the Sozo team praying for you. One will be facilitating your interaction with God, whilst the other is listening to God and praying for you. We currently have a team of seven people who have been trained and released by Westwood Church to do this work. Sozo appointments typically take place in the Shack.
There is no charge if you are regularly part of the worshipping community at Westwood Church.
